SUCCESS

Today I am explaining his laws and teachings. And if you always obey them, you and your descendants will live long and be successful in the land the LORD is giving you.

SUCCESS SEMINARS HAVE abounded in recent years. Those leading these sessions tout many “keys to success”: a good self-image, positive thinking, a proper education, a neat appearance, eloquent speech, showing genuine interest in others, and so forth. There is certainly some value in all these keys, but they often leave out the most important secret to success.

God admonished Joshua, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Josh. 1:8, emphasis added).

Daily confessing Scripture, pondering its true meaning, keeping its commands, and claiming its promises—these are some of the greatest keys to success that exist for us and for our children. As Psalm 112:1–2 says, “How joyful are those who fear the LORD, and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere” (NLT).

PRAYER DECLARATION

Lord God, I declare that I honor Your Word—that it will always be in my mouth. I will meditate on it day and night, and I will always seek to live within its boundaries. I believe this will bring good success in my own life and in the life of my son/daughter. I now pass on this legacy of a Word-based lifestyle to ___________. It will cause my child to be successful everywhere he/she goes. In the name of Jesus, amen (let it be so)!
